  • Vivitar Vivicam 6200W < Driver Needed

I was giving the neat Vivitar Vivicam underwater camera . Came with no documentation or cables / accessories or CD with the driver .

Cool little piece of work . It can also serve as a web camera too and the drivers are needed for this operation .

Thanks in advance to anyone and all who can help .

Hello and thanks for taking time to help .

What is seen inside the camera battery housing is :

          Vivitar® Vivicam 6200w and below it N1569

There is a SN as well .

After contacting the company ( Vivitar ) I have found little assistance or no help . They informed me that [ SAKAR ] had purchased Vivitar and could not help me since they claim they have no literature from Vivitar to begin with .

I did find a owners manual ( PDF ) from of all sources " Radio Shack " , seems they sold these for a while .

The manual was found buy shear luck . The search at the Radio Shack site did start O . K . with a link off a google search , at the Radio Shack site however the manual was " hidden " so's to speak in a cryptic alpha numeric file number . I just sort of hacked it out by process of elimination heh heh , truth is this little camera is really cool as is . When I read it was net capable as a web cam well I just had to give it a go .

Thanks in advance for any asistance .

You can use your camera through Virtual Windows XP machine built in Win 7
just install it and use your hardware

                  Your Efforts

Thank you for taking the time to help , I really appreciate you doing this .

Using this as a web cam should result in very clean and sharp imaging too since it's got decent

                  resolution @ 6.megapixels .

My Logitech web camera does video and stills but overall the quality in the pictures and videos is

a little cheezey - I mean it's serves a purpose and I do like it over all , but no cigar .

I was able to use the Vivitar 6200w Vivicam underwater ( just a swimming pool ) with my grand son , results were

really nice too . The video did super . Being a musician the idea of using this camera to

make a music video really appeals to me . Gotta be careful with this puppy , it says to [ NOT ] attempt to

jump into water while holding it , and to have it handed to you once your in the water so I wonder about it's durability .

Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained . Living in a desert does not make for a lot of water shoots either heh heh but

I will find suitable areas to exploit this camera's forte . I love the digital age I do

                  Thank you again .
