  • M7NCD Ultra-BIOSTAR, divers for Sata via VT6420

I have a custom build computer which has a M7NCD Ulta-Biostar motherboard. I am running a verizon of Microsoft windows XP. The system has 3 drives. The main boot drive is an IDE connected to the motherboard. The other 2 drives are sata drives (0one primary and one secondary), also connected to the motherboard. I can boot the system without any problem, but I can't access the 2 sata drives, I have been trying to download drivers, but nothing seems to work. In windows under device manager I seen yellow for the sata controller and the sata drives. Not sure what driver to download. The motherboard says I should use Sata/Raid VIA VT6420, but when I go into windows, via device manager and look at the Sata driver it says VIA RAID Controller 3149. Also not sure how the sata controller differs from the sata disk drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I reinstalled windows XP and now I'm having a problems with getting window activation to work. The windows CD is a valid copy, so not sure why I'm having a problem with activation. Any thoughts on this would also be appreciated. The system boots and then ask to activate windows, the all I see is the cursor and it just sits there.

    Hello
to resolve an activation problem you need to call to microsoft office in your country and they tell you how to activate it after some questions.
phone number of the Microsoft office can be found when you choose to Activate OS through phone.
    as for motherboard.
    heres a driver

but not sure if it would help.
its only need if you wanna to create some arrays not using simlpy two different HDDs.
    but you can try.
there are can be a problem with some settings in BIOS for SATA controller. you can go there and do some tests with different settings
