and as for your scsi\raid adapter, do you use some software to create virtual CD/DVD drives? Daemon tools or something similar?

Remove and reinstall. SCSI / RAID is Pribluda emulators for all CD / DVD
As painless for the system to remove Daemon Tools?

                  Quote:
                  1. Open Device Manager (section "SCSI / RAID controllers") and delete SCSI controller with name corresponding to the name Demon Driver (miniport driver name). If you have any problems with this (eg., system crashes) then start with step 3 (skip steps 1 and 2).

                  2. Open Device Manager (System devices section) and remove the device driver, the driver assigned to the Demon (bus driver name). In current versions of Daemon Tools it - "Plug and Play BIOS Extension", but perhaps this may change in future versions. If you continue to have some problems with it, skip this step.

                  3. Find Daemon driver files in the folder Windows \ System32 \ Drivers (in Win95/98/ME, also check the folder Windows \ System \ IOSUBSYS). Make sure that your system is configured to show system files (Paned Management -> Folder Options -> View), so you can see them. Remove the driver files to the Demon.
default v3.46 driver file name and d346bus.sys d346prt.sys
default v3.47 driver file name and d347bus.sys d347prt.sys

                  4. In WinNT/2000/XP/2003 open the registry editor and check
                  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Servic
es for entries with the same names as Daemon driver files. Delete these keys.

                  5. Reboot your system. If you executed steps 1 and 2, then you should not do anything else. Otherwise, proceed to next step.

                  6. Go to Device Manager - you can see some device with yellow mark. It is - most likely the device daemon, which can not run because the drivers are removed. Remove the device from Device Manager.

Seems like you need to reinstall your OS to get rid of this.
or if you a pro user you need to clean OS Registry
