  • OKI B410d drivers for Linux 3.11 kernel (Ubuntu 13.10 or 14.04 LTS)

    Hi there,

I'm looking for drivers for the OKI B410b mono laser printer running under Linux. Right now I have Ubuntu 13.10 installed, but I'll be upgrading shortly to 14.04 LTS. Not sure what kernel 14.04 uses, but 13.10 uses:

    Code:
    uname -a
    Linux xxxxxx 3.11.0-26-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 15 04:02:06 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
    Oh, and it's 64-bit.

Right now I *can* actually print, but the output is very faint (toner is fine, prints well under Windows) and instead of the text I'm trying to print I just get gibberish printed in graphical reverse -- i.e., "white" text on a black background.

My computer manufacturer (System76) suggested that the drivers for the OKI 4100 or 4200 might work, but I don't see any evidence of a source for that information and OKI only lists drivers for the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels for the B410b, and both the 4100 and 4200 printers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Craig
