Driver for Canon BJC-2010 for OSX 10.4

Hi, I'm trying to resuscitate an old Canon BJC-2010 printer. I would like to know if I can use it with an apple computer running OSX 10.4 via a USB-parallel cable. I would like to know this before I buy the ink and cable. The manual doesn't mention anything about apple computers or drivers needed for them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The Canon website mentions no driver available but that Apple may already have a driver installed for it. Under the OS specifications compatibility the only mention Windows from 3.1 to 7 excluding XP (?). Windows XP is the only alternate OS I'm running,b ut would rather use OSX as I rarely use XP.
