Driver search

I'm looking for a driver for the HP ScanJet 6300C scanner for Windows 7 64-bit. HP says they don't support it -- does this mean I can't use my scanner on my new computer?! Thanks, Bill

you may try to install driver automatically, Win 7 may contain driver inside or use virtual XP machine to run your scanner

Thank you for your reply! Win 7 does not have a driver for it (it won't load automatically). Could you give me a brief tutorial (or show me where to go) on running virtual XP?

For any of you monitoring this thread: I downloaded "VueScan", from www.hamrick.com. They support over 1500 scanners; the software is very easy to use, installs flawlessly and costs $39.99. Just brilliant. Shame on HP!!
