hi
my Acer Aspire M5910 works on both Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu or I should say worked.
Due to a recent instability of Linux, I have upgraded Bios from version P01.A3 to version P01.A3L. this has solved my problem on Linux but Windows is now unable to load (see attached image). On the Acer page, description of this version is "BIOS for Linux SupportsIntel Clarkdale K0 stepping CPU".
On a forum, I was told that this versionis is only for Linux. Are there Linux only bios versions and Windows only versions? Linux and Window generally work with the same bios yet.
should I go back to the previous version or upgrade to the next one: P01.A4? This last version seem to be for a Intel core i7 (Updates CPU Module from 8.00.15_CPU-i7_01.0C to 8.00.15_CPU-i7_01.0F and Disable Intel Enhanced Debug mode)
my hardware:
cpu: intel core i5 cpu 650@3.2Ghz x 4
video card: Geforce GT 440/PCIe/SSE2
Thanks
