  • mouse driver

I am looking for a driver for the following mouse:

    Description: optical mouse, USB input
    Company: A Open
    Model: O-800
Operating system: Windows 98 and 2000

Your assistance is very much appreciated, as I have inherited a computer with the request to look after the files on it, I am experiencing problems, and I have no back up software.

The info on the back of the mouse is:

      A Open
      Model No: O-800
      P/N: AJ.00026.975
      FCC ID: FKD46AMS22U

There is also another number: 3912B121

The mouse is presently working within Windows 2000 Professional, but I have to reload the operating system, possibly windows 2000, possibly windows 98. I suspect windows 98 does not recognise the mouse. I am uncertain about windows 2000. So I may need driver software before reloading the computer.

Some more info on the mouse:

The mouse is presently working in Windows 2000. If I go into Mouse Properties, the following information is displayed:

          HID-compliant mouse
          Manufacturer: Microsoft (!)
Location: on USB human Interface Device

          Driver Provider: Microsoft
          Driver Date: 14/11/99
          Driver version: 5.0.2183.1
          Digital signer: Windows 2000 Publisher

Are you able to make sense of this for me? I need to know, if I reload the operating system, do I need a driver or not, and if I need a driver, where may I obtain it - is it available on the computer I am using?

          Thanks
