canon md215 in mac 10.4.11

My camera is Canon MD215 and I use Power Mac G4 with 10.4.11 (tiger) operating system. iMovie HD 5.0.2. does not communicate with the camera. The camera is brand new. Are there any drivers I need to have or the camera does not communicate at all with the computer? Everything worked fine with my previous (but broken) Sony HC46 (and with no need for drivers).

do you have any software on CD included with your camera?

No CD was included with the camera. I thought of it when I got it. I'll ask the shop about that. However all these should be in the internet.
