Hello
theres no any drivers for your camera for Win XP. only for Win 98.
Your camera must work normally without any drivers.
just connect it to your PC and turn it ON in view pictures mode, your PC must recognize it as portable HDD.
if it not happen - try to update hardware list in your Device Manager. or use another usb cable or another USB port on your PC
I can't begin to thank you tAB. It's funny that you should write the reply you did cause in the end I just plugged it in. I don't know WHAT I "thought" was going to happen but I had pretty much given up so when it JUST WORKED, it "blew my mind"!
When I think of EVERYTHING that I could have done with that SIX hours and the solution is to just PLUG IT IN, ANYBODY would shake their head...
I'm curious as to my last reply above yours on this page. I made mention in it that everything was fine, that in the end I just tried plugging it in to see what would happen. What happened was it WORKED... Now, I'm looking at your post above this and it's like you might not have seen my post stating that it was NOW WORKING, orrrrrrrrrrr were you just curious about whether it worked fine before, which is a yes, and have I tried to connect it to another PC, which is a NO, and have I used another USB cable, which is a NO. The point of me posting the one after your Ist post was to let you know it was working and thanks for your help.
I'm noticing the difference from my posts to YOUR posts. Under my posts in says "Edit Post". It DOESN'T say Edit Post under YOURS. How come?
Cause every person, except ADMIN, can edit only posts that he wrote not other persons posts.
as for my second post I need to explain that I'm not so good in English and dont understand that your camera now works fine.
NO Worries... Nothing WRONG with your English. IF I hadn't had already TRIED plugging that camera in, then I would have TRIED what you suggested, which is to just to PLUG IT IN... What I was trying to say was that I WASTED SIX hours, which was STUPID on MY part. I SHOULD have tried that right at the VERY beginning.
Thanks again tAB
