Recently I have installed Windows ME on my computer. All files on the hard drive were lost. After installing the operating system, I find that there is no sound, e.g. when running windows media player. When I look inside the computer I see nothing that looks like a sound card, just a modem card and video card. The motherboard is named ABIT-BD711 (Taiwan).
How do I get sound working on the computer? Sound used to work on it, before I was forced to reformat the hard disk and install a new operating system.
