  • HP OfficeJet Pro 6230 - Firmware(!) earlier than 1517AR needed. Names: AGP1FN14**AR

HP OfficeJet Pro 6230 - Firmware(!) earlier than 1517AR needed.

They are the first the printers were delivered with and dated from 2014.

    Names are : AGP1FN14**AR (AGP1FN1432AR, AGP1FN1423AR or AGP1FN1422AR)

The reason is, that i desperately want to downgrade / fall back to an older fw.
HP has built the newer fw from 1517 upwards, so that the printer is refusing to work with any other than HPs original Cardridge-Chips.
That made a whole lot of reverse engineered 3rd party supplyer chips out there useless and many users of the HP-Printers desperate.

Please help finding and uploading the former firmwares, where the trap is (most probably) not programmed in.

Thank you very much in advance.

P.S.: The fw already in the DriversCollection.com-Pool is this: AGP1FN1517AR https://de.driverscollection.com/?H=...ePrinter&By=HP

P.P.S.: A method for downgrading any HP Printer is this:

    Method:
    1) Extract i.e. the OJ6230_R1517A.exe
    2) Rename agave_pp_usr_hf_AGP1FN1517AR_update_from_1422A_sig ned.ful to fw.ful
    3) Place fw.ful to c:\
    4) Open Command and enter copy /b c:\fw.ful \\your computername\printer sharename

For printer sharename use the name under which the printer is shared in windows.
I renamed my printer to "6230" in windows, gives less typing...

    5) After the command, the printer does some blinking and restarts.
    6) Downgrade from 1544 to 1517 done.
    7) If you have e-printing enabled, don't forget to switch automatic updates off.

Now, the only thing I still need is a .ful file or an Update.exe, that is dated earlier.
    There are FWs from 2014 named AGP1FN1432AR, AGP1FN1423AR, AGP1FN1422AR
