When i tried to find a way to use panasonic SDR s71 as webcam, i came across a site in google that informed,that u can use any handycam as webcam using Trackercam software. I downloaded the trackercam software and installed the same in my pc.google also suggested that to connect camcorder to pc, firewire or analog tv tuner card is required. Since i had a Pixelview Analog TV tuner card, i connected the Panasonic camcorder to my TV tunercard as suggested.
I opened the pixel view software and entered the Video camera mode. But it is detecting the trackercam software. But it also suggests that no camera selected or selected camera cannot be used.I think that suitable driver for the corresponding panasonic Handycam which in this case is SDR s71 is required. If any bug is in Trackercam software, bug can be reported said Trackercam software. So i reported a complaint to Trackercam site few days back. Till now i have not received any reply from them.
I checked with Panasonic site also and if i'm correct i'll say that no suitable driver for SDR s71 was found. If someone can suggest a way out or some software professionals can develop drivers and if found working with my said handycam i ready to pay the required amount.
